Lake Savant: Ontario's Premier Fishing Destination
Lake Savant stretches approximately 25 miles and boasts hundreds of islands bordered by 400 miles of pristine shoreline. Covering 90,000 acres, this lake ranks among the top three fisheries in Ontario, promising extraordinary angling opportunities and breathtaking views.
A Legacy of Wilderness Hospitality
Established in 1965 by Dale and Carol Staimbrook, Cat Track Lodge is now proudly operated by their great granddaughter Jess Sawyer along with her two kids Jersey and Jaxson. With nearly 60 years of combined experience and local knowledge, Jess is dedicated to preserving the lodge's legacy and ensuring every guest enjoys exceptional service and an unforgettable wilderness experience.
Accommodations: Remote Fly-In Cabins
Our camp features six housekeeping cabins of various sizes, accommodating groups from four to fourteen people. Each cabin is fully equipped for your comfort. While some cabins have showers, all guests have access to a central shower house facility for added convenience.
Fishing Adventures
• Walleye Fishing: Expect top-notch Walleye fishing with average catches in the 17" to 22" range, and the potential for trophy Walleyes up to 30" or larger. Our experienced team ensures you enjoy a successful day on the lake.
• Northern Pike: Northern Pike are abundant, averaging 25" to 30", with many tipping the scales over 10 lbs. Trophy-sized Northerns between 40" and 48" are not uncommon. Skilled anglers can expect impressive catches throughout their stay.
• Lake Trout: Lake Savant is renowned for its Lake Trout fishing. Average catches are around 8 lbs, with trophy fish exceeding 18 lbs can be caught. Pursue the catch of a lifetime in these legendary waters.
Moose Hunting
Cat Track Lodge offers an outstanding Moose hunting experience, providing access to hundreds of miles of shoreline in WMU 16B. Both non-resident and resident rifle tags are available for Bull, Cow, and Calf Moose. Our guests enjoy high success rates, with most Bull Moose sporting racks between 30" and 50".
