Licensing Requirements
Anglers on Lake Savant must possess a valid Ontario fishing licence and Outdoor Card. The following options are available: www.huntandfishontario.ca

• Conservation Fishing Licence & Outdoor Card ($31.52 + $8.57) (Buy On-line)
Fish Cleaning Services
Our facility offers a complimentary fish cleaning service for all guests. This includes an unlimited supply of ice and minnows. Every fish caught will be cleaned, and if you wish to take your catch home, we provide vacuum-sealed packaging. The fish cleaning hut is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Note: Lake Savant's north arm is a fishing sanctuary for all species until June 14 (located at Twp. 50°28'N, 90°25'W). No fishing is permitted in this area during the sanctuary period.
Species-Specific Regulations
Walleye Fishing Regulations
· Open Season Summer: 3rd Saturday in May to Dec. 31
· Sport License Limit: 4 Walleye in your possession
· Conservation License Limit: 2 Walleye in your possession
· Size Restrictions: Only one walleye may be greater than 18.1 inches. Please release any walleye over 19.5 inches, as they are likely female and crucial for the population's sustainability.
Northern Pike Fishing Regulations
· Open Season: Open all year
· Sport License Limit: 4 Pike in your possession
· Conservation License Limit: 2 Pike in your possession
· Size Restrictions: No pike between 27.6 inches and 35.4 inches are permitted. Only one may be greater than 35.4 inches.
Lake Trout Fishing Regulations
· Open Season: January 1 to September 30
· Sport License Limit: 2 Lake Trout in your possession
· Conservation License Limit: 1 Lake Trout in your possession
· Size Restrictions: Only one Lake Trout over 22 inches is permitted.
Yellow Perch Fishing Regulations
· Open Season: Open all year
· Sport License Limit: 50 Perch in your possession
· Conservation License Limit: 25 Perchin your possession
Whitefish Fishing Regulations
· Open Season: All Year
· Sport License Limit: 12 Whitefish in your possession
· Conservation License Limit: 6 Whitefish in your possession
